At one point the report was X-Men: Days of Future Past was looking at a $125 million opening. Of course, that was just the trades fishing for more traffic as the tracking has come out putting the film somewhere around $91.3 million, but if Godzilla's performance last week is any indication, tracking doesn't mean much.

This weekend X-Men: Days of Future Past becomes the latest film hoping to reach the $100 million mark on opening weekend and with great reviews it just might be able to do it, though the reader average places it just shy at $99.7 million, $3.7 million higher than Laremy's prediction.

Eying second place is Godzilla, which the readers also went over Laremy's prediction, though only by $300,000 on this one with a $42.2 million average for the big fella's second weekend.

The other new wide release this weekend is the critically savaged (no surprise) Blended starring Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore. You know, the film Sandler recently confirmed was his latest excuse for a paid vacation. Quality or not, audiences will show up, but will it be to the tune of the readers' $22 million prediction or Laremy's $25.4 million?

Finally, a film I urge you all to see if you're looking for a quality piece of sweet and satisfying filmmaking, Jon Favreaus Chef, which is expanding this weekend. The readers peg it for a $3.2 million weekend, $300,000 below Laremy.
