THE Strictly Come Dancing's Christmas special line-up has now been confirmed.

But just who is taking part? And when is it on? Here's everything we know so far...

When is the Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special?
The show will go ahead as usual on Christmas Day (December 25) at 5.30pm.

The festive special will see six favourites from previous series take to the dance floor once again in a bid to wow the judges.

These celebrities will be hoping to scoop that Silver Star Trophy:

Caroline Flack - Love Island host, 38, who won the series in 2014, will be dancing with Gorka Marquez
Ann Widdecombe - former politician and Celebrity Big Brother star who competed on Strictly in 2010, will be dancing with Anton Du Beke
Aston Merrygold - former JLS singer and TV star who appeared on Strictly in 2017, will also get to dance with original partner Janette Manrara
Jake Wood - EastEnders star who was a huge hit on Strictly in 2014
Anita Rani - TV presenter who competed in series 13, will dance with Neil Jones.
Michael Vaughn - former England cricketer who took part in the show in 2012, will dance with Lee Ryan's former pro dancer Nadiya Bychkova

How does the Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special work?
The theme for this year’s festive extravaganza is fairy tales and making dreams come true.

Each of the six couples will perform a Christmas inspired routine in a bid to be crowned Christmas champions 2018.

It is then down to the studio audience to vote for which dancing duo will win and lift the famous Silver Star trophy.

Who will host and judge the Strictly Christmas Special?
The show will be hosted by Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman.

The festive special also wouldn’t be complete without the usual judging panel.

Craig Revel Horwood, Darcey Bussell, Bruno Tonioli and Head Judge Shirley Ballas will all be putting the celebrity dancers through their paces.

How can I get tickets for the Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special?
Tickets were available through a random draw on the BBC website but this has now closed.

But you can still find out who was victorious by tuning in on Christmas Day.

So grab a mince pie or four and cheer on your favourite celebrity.
