American Horror was very disappointing, as was Hemlock Grove. The petering out of founding towards the ending of Twin Peaks was certainly a let down as was the cancelling of Deadwood and Carnivale were saddening. Probably True Blood is probably the most epicly wasted. HBO had so much potential for all kinds of interesting things, but what do they do? Throw a bunch of rather dumb egocentric small minded people together who have seem to have nothing better to do than pursue their narcissistic pleasures. I mean, seriously, they start the whole plot thing of synthetic blood and the "other race" of vampires being around but instead of politics and the rest, we have a bunch of horny teenagers. I guess it sold well, so it must have been a success...

John From Cincinnati was a puzzler too. Good actors, good writes, etc., but we ended up with just a confused mess of a mother guilty of helping her son jerk off? I'm sure there was more to that show than that, but bugger if I know what it was.

Doctor Who continues to be an ongoing disappointment as my significant other loves it. Why do women love Dr. Who? It really is not a great show....

On a very controversial note: I found The Walking Dead to be very disappointing as well. Haha, I know I'm in the minority on that thought!

I would have to agree with Walking Dead in terms of current shows. I just don't get it, or the love for zombies in general.

My biggest letdown ever though was Lost. Maybe it's just from reading about how much worse it got, but I didn't feel like committing to it after watching the first few episodes.
