The title of the new Terminator movie has been revealed, according to reports.

A tweet published by Production Weekly previewing the new issue of their magazine, which you can see here, has alleged that the forthcoming reboot of the sci-fi franchise will be called Terminator: Genesis. Thor: The Dark World and Game Of Thrones director Alan Taylor will helm the project, while the script has been written by Laela Kalogrodis (Shutter Island) and Patrick Lussier (Drive Angry), although no plot details are known at the moment.

Paramount Pictures announced the reboot in June and and revealed that it will be the first in a new stand-alone trilogy of Terminator movies. Game Of Thrones actress Emilia Clarke, who plays Daenerys Targaryen on the HBO show, has been linked with the role of Sarah Connor in the planned reboot of the sci-fi franchise, although reports have also suggested that Short Term Twelve actress Brie Larson and Margot Robie have also been discussed for the role.

Paramount has yet to confirm what role - if any - Arnold Schwarzenegger will play in the film though the actor has said on several occasions this year: "I'll be back."

Schwarzenegger originated the iconic role in 1984's Terminator and returned for 1991's Terminator 2: Judgment Day and 2003's Terminator 3: Rise Of The Machines. A fourth instalment, Terminator Salvation, followed in 2009 without Schwarzenegger, who was then serving as Governor of California.
