The Oscar-winning actress will be honored at the festival's closing ceremony this week.

Set to visit the Hollywood playground of Los Cabos to present the acclaimed film The Killing of a Secret Deer, Nicole Kidman also will receive an achievement award for a prolific acting career spanning more than four decades.

Kidman won a best actress Oscar for her performance in The Hours and she has been nominated for Academy Awards for her roles in Lion, Rabbit Hole and Moulin Rouge!. Recently, she won an Emmy for the HBO miniseries Big Little Lies.

The sixth edition of Los Cabos closes Saturday night with a screening of Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, best screenplay winner at this year's Venice film fest.

Los Cabos also paid tribute to writer-director Paul Schrader, screenwriter of the Robert De Niro classics Taxi Driver and Raging Bull.
