Andrea Riseborough and Linus Roache also star in the film, which XYZ is selling at TIFF.

Nicolas Cage is a bloody mess in a new exclusive image for his upcoming action-thriller Mandy.

In the film, set in 1983, Cage plays Red Miller, a broken and haunted man, who hunts the unhinged religious sect who slaughtered the love of his life. XYZ Films is handling world sales on the project, and will bring it to the Toronto International Film Festival this week.

Andrea Riseborough and Linus Roache also star in the film, which is being directed by Panos Cosmatos (Beyond the Black Rainbow).

Ned Dennehy, Olwen Fouéré, Richard Brake, Bill Duke and Sam Louwyk round out the cast for the project, which just wrapped principal photography in Belgium.

The film is being produced by Daniel Noah, Josh C. Waller and Elijah Wood for SpectreVision, Nate Bolotin for XYZ, and Adrian Politowski for Umedia, and is being executive produced by Nick Spicer, Lisa Whalen, Todd Brown, Martin Metz, Peter Bevan, Christopher Figg, and Robert Whitehouse, with Umedia and Piccadilly Pictures financing.

XYZ also worked with Cage on Brian Taylor's Mom and Dad, which is playing at TIFF. The company also produced and is handling sales on two more TIFF titles: S.Craig Zahler action thriller Brawl in Cell Block 99, which stars Vince Vaughn and Don Johnson and I Kill Giants staring Zoe Saldana and Imogen Poots, also produced and financed by Umedia.

Riseborough is repped by CAA and Independent Talent in the UK. Roache is repped by ICM Partners and Tavistock Wood in the UK.
