Considering it’s the highest-rated scripted program on the network, it’s no surprise NBC chose to use The Blacklistas its post-Super Bowl show at this year’s game, and now, after months of being off the air, the network has finally released the first promo for “Luther Braxton.”

The first of a two-part event, following the post-big game premiere – written and directed by Joe Carnahan – the show will move to Thursday nights @9pm where it will compete with ABC’s Scandal and Fox’s Backstrom.

On Mondays, The Blacklist was top dog and faced zero competition that could stand up against the gravity of James Spader. However, there are reasons to be worried about the show moving to Thursdays against the other top-rated show on broadcast television, Scandal, because the biggest issue with the new slot isn’t that The Blacklist might suffer, it’s that it and the Shonda Rhimes series could suffer in equal value.
