Tobey Maguire expressed interest in reprising his role in a potential Spider-Man 4 once again, making another movie in the Sam Raimi series even more likely. Maguire made his long-awaited return as the web-slinger in Spider-Man: No Way Home, making his iteration of Peter Parker and his three films part of the MCU’s multiverse. Considering the general interest in seeing Maguire return and the Raimi universe’s renewed popularity, it seems more likely than ever that a fourth Sam Raimi Spider-Man movie will be made.

In an interview with Tobey Maguire in Spider-Man No Way Home: The Official Movie Special, the classic Spider-Man actor brings up the possibility of playing Spider-Man again, unprompted, voicing enthusiasm to play the role again after No Way Home. With the Sam Raimi Spider-Man universe (Earth-96283) now part of the broader MCU, bringing back Sony’s original cinematic Spider-Man iteration would be a certain crowd-pleaser. Sam Raimi had specific plans for a Spider-Man 4, but the Raimi universe’s spinoff material and Marvel’s MC2 comics provide even more exciting ideas for the next chapter in Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man story.

Spider-Man 4 Is Closer To Becoming A Reality

With No Way Home reviving the bygone Spider-Man franchises and legitimizing them as part of the MCU, a Spider-Man 4 is more possible than ever. Tobey Maguire's enthusiasm to play Spider-Man again makes a Spider-Man 4 not only more possible but also more likely. There has always been a demand for more Sam Raimi Spider-Man installments, but without Tobey Maguire himself being willing to reprise the role, it would not work. Moreover, Sam Raimi has returned to Marvel movie adaptations via Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and expressed happiness at seeing Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man return to the big screen.

Since Tobey Maguire plays the oldest and most experienced live-action Spider-Man variant, the best inspiration for a Spider-Man 4 would be Tom DeFalco’s Spider-Man and Spider-Girl comics from the 90s and early 2000s. The Sam Raimi Spider-Man universe should introduce Mayday Parker as Peter and Mary Jane’s daughter. Moreover, the film should look to the Raimi universe’s spinoff materials, particularly its video games, when developing a new antagonist for Maguire’s veteran Spider-Man. Spider-Man 4 could even create a new iteration of the Hobgoblin, paying off an easter egg from Spider-Man 3.

Why Spider-Man 4 Makes Sense For Sony

Thanks to No Way Home, there is considerable demand for continuations of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man stories. Although both Maguire and Garfield could appear again as Spider-Man Avengers: Secret Wars, it would be even better to see the two continue to develop in solo films. Tobey Maguire is enthusiastic to play Spider-Man again, so Sony ought to take advantage of this and bring him back, along with Kirsten Dunst and Sam Raimi, to make a fourth Spider-Man film in the Raimi continuity.

This scene also created a thought in my mind, in future, there is a possibility that they could witness how it feels like to work with an avenger-like team.
As we've seen previously this kinda activity for others characters of the MCU.
