Warning: SPOILERS ahead for Birds of Prey!

Here's how to make Harley Quinn's obsession-worthy breakfast sandwich from Birds of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn). Margot Robbie reprises her role as the DC Comics character for the first time since 2016's Suicide Squad. Forget Easter eggs, Harley's delectable egg sandwich is what viewers are truly talking about.

Birds of Prey serves as the eighth film in the DCEU and a direct sequel to Suicide Squad. This time around, Harley (Robbie) takes center stage as she tried to find her own identity after her breakup with the Joker. She certainly isn't a model citizen but the expert criminal finds herself protecting a young pickpocketer named Cassandra (Ella Jay Basco) who is being targeted by Roman Sionis, aka Black Mask (Ewan McGregor). In doing so, Harley has the opportunity to team up with fellow acquaintances like Renee Montoya (Rosie Perez), Black Canary (Jurnee Smollett-Bell), and Huntress (Mary Elizabeth Winstead).

Early on in Birds of Prey, Harley is trying to sober up after a drunken night with her one lasting true love: a bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich. She stops by a Gotham City corner store and orders on from Sal, the master breakfast sandwich maker. Harley's love for this sandwich is something special but she unfortunately never gets to take a bite. After walking out of the shop, Harley is approached by Renee in addition to several other attackers looking for revenge for a number of various grievances. Word has spread that Harley is no longer under the protection of "Mr. J", so she has a slew of new enemies. The chase sadly ends in the destruction of the egg sandwich as it flies in the air before landing on the dirty ground. The sequence probably had a lot of viewers craving Harley's quick bite and if so, we got it covered.

Harley Quinn's Breakfast Sandwich Recipe

In order to make Harley's sandwich at home, only six ingredients are necessary. Two eggs serve as the main ingredient, but in order to recreate the Birds of Prey version, you would need a few slabs of thick bacon, two slices of yellow American cheese, hot sauce, melted butter, and ciabatta bread (or some kind of Italian bread). Now some of those ingredients could be subbed out, such as the breakfast meat, type of cheese, or what holds the deliciousness all together.

Just as Sal did in the movie, crack the two eggs over a hot pan or stovetop. Instead of watching in awe as Harley did, fry up the bacon and layer it on top of the sliced bread. Before adding items to the bread, make sure to coat it with warm butter. While the eggs are still frying, layer the cheese right on top so it melts right in. Next, add a few dashes of hot sauce but "not too much" at the advice of Harley because it's important to taste the cheese. Take the heaping pile of goodness and place it on top of the bacon layered base before adding the finishing layer of buttered bread. Now you can safely eat the sandwich happily knowing that Harley got another chance at the end of Birds of Prey thanks to Cassandra.
