SOAP legend GARY LUCY has split from his wife after she confronted him about his wild partying.

The EastEnders, Hollyoaks and The Bill favourite has been left devastated by the break-up and is said to be sobbing openly backstage on The Full Monty live tour, where he is starring in the leading role.

Gary and Natasha would have celebrated their fourth wedding anniversary on November 16.

The actor – who has also recently starred in BBC series The Missing, Casualty and is a former Dancing On Ice runner-up – told me the separation was a “difficult decision”.

Sadly, their marriage had been in serious trouble for the past year.

Natasha decided to give Gary a final chance to turn things around last September, but the relationship couldn’t be saved.

In a joint statement sent to me, the couple said: “It is with great sadness that we announce the end of our marriage.

“This was a very difficult decision, but was reached mutually and amicably. No other parties are involved.

“Our priority is, as always, our children. There are no secrets nor salacious events at the root of our decision, just two best friends realising it’s time to take some space and help each other live the most joyous, fulfilled lives possible. We are still a family and will always be loving, dedicated parents.”

Natasha, who runs a beauty clinic in Essex, had been with Gary since 2004.

They wed ten years later at London’s Mandarin Oriental hotel and guests included Sarah Harding, Towie's Amy Childs, Christopher Biggins and Hollyoaks and Emmerdale cast members.

Gary told Natasha in his wedding speech: “I fell in love with you the moment I met you. You’re the most beautiful woman inside and out. I love you.”

I wish them both the best for the future.
