The script for J.K. Rowling's upcoming stage play, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, will be available in book form later this year.
According to an announcement on Pottermore, both print and digital versions will be available following the play's debut this summer. The book will feature the Special Rehearsed Edition of the script—a "version of the play script at the time of the play’s preview performances."
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child continues the story Rowling's seven-novel series.
Scholastic is publishing the book, which will later be replaced by a Definitive Collector’s Edition. No specifics on the Collector's Edition were provided, with details to come at some point in the future.
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child continues the Potter story and serves as a sequel to Rowling's beloved seven-novel series. The plot picks up nineteen years after the conclusion of The Deathly Hallows and centers around Harry and his son Albus.
