Note: This article contains spoilers for this week's Bake Off.

The Great British Bake Off aired its first ever Vegan Week tonight (October 9), and it was absolutely disastrous for one contestant as their showstopper collapsed (!) not long after time was up.

That contestant wasn't Jon, but since he really struggled with the vegan ingredients this week (and has had some ups and downs before), he was sent home.

We were all sad to him go, and the tent will be a much less fun place without his Welsh charms and loud Hawaiian shirts.

Still, it looks like the bakers are going to keep the spirit of Jon alive next week, as a trailer showed everyone wearing brightly-coloured shirts. Hopefully someone will attempt an accent too.

Viewers absolutely loved that the contestants are doing this, proving that the bonds made on Bake Off are bonds that will last forever:

Next week is the show's first ever Danish Week, which we're sure will be either amazing or terrible for host Sandi Toksvig, who was born in Copenhagen.

Hopefully next week will also see Paul Hollywood tone down the Hollywood handshakes. He's been handing them out left right and and centre recently, and has promised that they will "almost stop" before the series is over.

The Great British Bake Off continues next Tuesday (October 16) at 8pm on Channel 4.
