“Family Guy” creator (and the man who gave us a foul-mouthed teddy bear in “Ted”) Seth MacFarlane sets his sights on the Wild Wild West with “A Million Ways to Die in the West,” a comedy about, well, a million ways to die in the west. Or something along those lines. Here are character posters for the movie recently released by the studio.

MacFarlane stars, co-wrote, and directed the movie, and last I checked, he also did the catering and chauffeuring, too. Busy guy, that Seth.

Seth MacFarlane directs, produces, co-writes and plays the role of the cowardly sheep farmer Albert in A Million Ways to Die in the West. After Albert backs out of a gunfight, his fickle girlfriend leaves him for another man. When a mysterious and beautiful woman rides into town, she helps him find his courage and they begin to fall in love. But when her husband, a notorious outlaw, arrives seeking revenge, the farmer must put his newfound courage to the test.

Starring Seth MacFarlane, Charlize Theron, Liam Neeson, Amanda Seyfried, Giovanni Ribisi, Sarah Silverman and Neil Patrick Harris.

Try not to die in the west this May 30, 2014.
