CHANNEL 4 has hastily deleted a tweet which wrongly announced the death of Michael Buble's son from cancer.

The network's social media team incorrectly said the singer had spoke about "the death" of his boy on Carpool Karaoke.

Fans were furious at the blunder and demanded it was taken down.

Michael's son Noah, 5, was diagnosed with liver cancer in 2016, but has made a "miracle" recovery.

The tweet read: "Watching Michael Buble talking about the death of his son from Cancer is one of the most heartbreaking things we've ever watched.

"Sending him and his family so much love for telling their story!"

Furious fans blasted the channel on twitter - even after the post was hastily deleted.

One wrote: "Erm Channel 4....what the f***?"

Another demanded: "Delete this now."

The tweet was meant to promote Michael's appearance in the Stand Up To Cancer in a special Carpool Karaoke.

Sun Online has contacted Channel 4 for comment.

In April 2017, Bublé said in a statement: “We are so grateful to report that our son Noah has been progressing well during his treatment and the doctors are very optimistic about the future for our little boy.

Earlier this month the singer recalled the heartache and fear he and his wife felt when Noah was diagnosed.

The Canadian singer immediately cancelled all of his upcoming gigs, including a planned performance at the BBC Music Awards in December 2016 and hosting the 2017 Brit Awards.

He even hinted he could quit music all together.
