Though the fourth, Netflix-ordered season of Arrested Development didn’t exactly thrill everyone with its mixed, talent schedule-juggling narrative concept, there is still plenty of hope for more. The streaming service’s Ted Sarandos has said he was positive it would happen and now Will Arnett showed up on The Tonight Show – as reported by Entertainment Weekly – to offer confirmation.

Given how much Arrested creator Mitch Hurwitz and his various cast members have said they want to do more, it was a likely proposition. But the big issue will be once again with the timetable. Everyone involved in the show has gone on to do other things and while some – like Arnett and Jason Bateman – are in more demand than others, the tricky issue will be corralling time when they’re all available. And hopefully this time the team might be able to carve out a window to reunite everyone at once so as to recreate the feel of the original three seasons.

For now, we will just have to go on waiting to see when it might happen. We wouldn’t encourage anyone to hold their breath for 2015, but at least with Netflix – where Hurwitz signed a deal to create a variety of series – there’s some breathing room. It’ll just require a little patience and a big dollop of hope.
