There's a company I think they said from Taiwan who has movie theater designs to make movies "4D." This means you still wear glasses (I think) to see the 3D in the movie, but they are adding smell and the seats will move/vibrate in accordance to some movie scenes (like at disney world.)
The trade off is that 4D movies will most likely be about $40 a ticket!!
The theaters to house this new technology has to be built completely from scratch...they can not 'implement' the systems into current movie theaters.

This is just getting more and more of a gimic. I already spend like 10 bucks for a ticket and 12 for some half ass popcorn and a coke and now they want to charge 40$? Maybe the vibration is some secret idea the film company is to stop camera piracy by vibration the seat to get the camera off focus. At least this isn't becoming world-wide yet.

I don't think it will add anything useful for your movie experience... I mean, it might be fun for 1 movie, in a theme park or something, but to spend 40 euro's every time you want to go see a movie? No thank you... Also I find the name 4D not really correct.

4D is basically the same as 3D. The only difference is that chairs vibrate and move.

I think movies with affects as vibrating .. it just dont worth the time of the effort :/
