The special will hit Netflix on Oct. 23.

Adam Sandler returns to the stand-up stage in his new Netflix special, 100% Fresh, set to be released in a week.

The effort continues comedian's collaboration with the streaming giant, having previously inked a four-film distribution deal that included the original films The Ridiculous 6 and The Do-Over. 100% Fresh marks Sandler's first comedy special since 1996's What the Hell Happened to Me? on HBO, though he's put out plenty of comedy and musical albums since.

From the trailer released in September, it looks like his Netflix special will incorporate his signature song-based comedy, with a piano accompanist and three guitars lined up near the back of the otherwise bare stage. Sandler peeks out from behind the curtain and descends the stairs to the stage as a jaunty tune begins to play. The video splices in brief clips of the comic dancing and cuts out just before he speaks — or sings — into the microphone.

However, when the Netflix logo appears on the screen a few seconds after, Sandler is heard saying in his hallmark goofy voice, "Oh, Sandman, that's too much."

Steven Brill, who helmed Sandler's Netflix original Sandy Wexler, directed the comedy special, which is set to bow Oct. 23.
