Streaming services taken down due to legal pressures is getting more common with every passing day. Kodi Addon and Build repositories closing down is one of the recent cases, where FACT reportedly acted against them for pirated content. Regarding this, @ KodiUKtv recently shared via Twitter:

We took our website offline 10days ago closed our repo and the builds due to legal demands against us.

We will say more when we can bring the site back up safely. But the builds & repo will not be back nor will we host any add-ons anymore for anyone.

And after Kodi Addon and Build, Solex TV is now joining the list of services closing down due to copyright issues. Solex TV, as you may know, is a free Android app for streaming movies and TV shows.

Going by reports proliferating across online discussion platforms like Reddit and Twitter, copyright notices on the server have got the developers of Solex TV to close down the app. Additionally, the official notice now suggests users go for legal apps like Netflix and Hulu instead.

Here’s the message that app users are now getting to see:

*Note*
PLEASE USE LEGAL APPS LIKE NETFLIX AND HULU! WE HAVE CLOSED DOWN DUE TO LEGAL ISSUES! MY SERVER HAS SBEEN GETTING WITH COPYRIGHT NOTICES. THERE NIS NOTHING MORE FOR ME TO DO! USE LEGAL APPS!

The future of Solex TV seems bleak, as nowhere in the notice has the developer mentioned the app will be back sometime soon. As for who is behind this legal pressure that caused the streaming service to be taken down, well, that’s yet to be disclosed.

Looking at the frequency at which such services are being shut down, it’s clear that illegal streaming is being taken seriously these days. So we would also suggest users to go for legal apps instead of sticking with the ones that aren’t reliable and have a short stay.
