Private Internet Access started 2018 with a bang by launching a brand new VPN server location in Spain.

One of the leading VPN services, Private Internet Access is known for their cheap prices and quality service boasting more than 1 million customers worldwide.

Although the service is popular, one area that has been lacking is server locations around the world. While the main VPN countries are covered some of the most requested have been lacking.

Private Internet Access has set to rectify this in 2018 with the launch of the new Spanish VPN server location.

Private Internet Access VPN expands

As well as launching a new Spanish VPN location, Private Internet Access recently launched two other completely new VPN countries namely Austria and Belgium.

This takes the total number of countries covered to 28 with more than 3034 servers across these regions.

The Spanish expansion boosts European countries covered to 16 allowing users good access across the continent with the ability to protect their privacy no matter where they’re located.

Alongside the European VPN servers, servers are located in the United States, Canada, Turkey, South Korea, Singapore, Japan, Israel, Mexico, Brazil and India.

Why a Spain VPN is necessary

Privacy is actually one aspect that Spain does surprisingly well. As part of the EU and with local laws, Spain has one of the strongest privacy protections in Europe.

However, that does not mean that a VPN is not essential for use. While laws may be in place there are Governments who are prepared to circumvent such laws and companies who operate outside of Spain that do not care to adhere to local legislation.

For this reason it’s important for Spanish users to take action to protect their privacy by using a VPN service such as the one offered by Private Internet Access.

Further uses

The Spanish VPN server also lets users in neighbouring countries such as Portugal and France to tunnel in and bypass local restrictions while reaping the benefits of Spanish privacy laws.

Freedom of Speech and censorship on the other hand is a big issue in Spain. With terrorist worries from groups such as ETA and Spain’s disliking of recent events in the Catalonia region, censorship can be found throughout the online world in Spain.

A VPN allows you to protect your privacy in Spain and therefore bypass any local censorship.

File sharing and P2P has had something of a unique time in Spain with it being ruled legal as long as you’re not making a profit from it. That said, various websites are still blocked in the country including the notorious The Pirate Bay.

If you want to access websites without restriction in Spain then a VPN is definitely the way to go.
