Announcing PixelCove

We would hereby like to announce our new private tracker, PixelCove.

PixelCove is a new games tracker, focusing on user experience and keeping your data secure. While our site itself is not yet ready for launch, our IRC is now open, so come chat with us! Below is some more info about us, to give you an idea of how we plan on running things.

Objective
Our primary objective is security. We will only store the data that is relevant to us and required to operate our tracker. The data we do store will be stored securely in a way that would make it very hard, if not impossible, for anyone outside of our ops team to access. All our traffic is encrypted, no exceptions.

Staff
We have a group of experienced staff that we feel is going to be able to keep things running smoothly. Our staff is held to very high standards and we have a proper hierarchy in place to prevent any internal disputes. If you would like to join our staff team, hop on IRC and tell us about your experience!

Torrents
While we won't have any data to start with, we hope to get up and running quickly. Our users will have access to tools to automatically pull information from GOG and Steam for more recent games, and we will be working on adding more sources to this over time. We aim to make uploading as easy as possible while still upholding proper upload rules, ensuring a smooth experience for both the uploader and people browsing the torrents.

UGC
As part of our staff team is made up out of ex-UGC staff members, and the downfall of UGC was what prompted us to start a new tracker, we will be allowing members from UGC to sign up. As long as you have access to your UGC email address, you will be able to automatically request an invite. In case there are any issues, we have our IRC help channel where our staff members will help you sort things out.
Our sign-ups for UGC members will last for 6 months. After this period, anyone looking to sign up will need to be invited by someone they know personally, or one of our official recruiters in the designated threads on other trackers.
