As everyone already knows, Kodi has been going through some legal issues lately. Streaming TV shows and other similar content is what caused Exodus to be shut down and Kodi is trying to bring things back to normal. In fact, the reason we are talking about Kodi today is because it publicly asked TVaddons to get shut down because its only causing “misery”.

Kodi Distress

The call to shut down TVaddons was done over Twitter and we can feel Kodi’s distress. There are numerous third-party extensions that can be installed over Kodi which allow users to illegally stream movies and TV Shows. This is why Kodi is surrounded by controversy and why it doesn’t have this situation under control.

TVAddons Response

Obviously, TVAddons didn’t take Kodi’s public statement too well. Therefore, TVAddons also went on Twitter and said the following: “Nice thing to say, whoever is running your social media profile is definitely not in touch with your userbase”. Things don’t end there since Kodi was quick to respond to this Twitter feud with the following statement: “We love 3rd party add-ons. Not the piracy variety you’re referring to though, Popularity? Not bothered. Dead? No, just a nice small userbase.”

Twitter War

It seems like Twitter wars are quite popular these days, especially since even Donald Trump himself has had his fair share of them. Nonetheless, it’s hard to decide what side to pick in this Kodi vs TVAddons feud.

From the looks of it, Kodi is the one who is unrighteous being judged for enabling piracy through third-party extensions such as TVAddons but Kodi shouldn’t be held responsible for that. All in all, Kodi is simply offering a platform that’s designed for fair use and other add-on developers are the ones who take advantage of this and encourage piracy.
