The association for the fight against audiovisual piracy (ALPA) has announced the blocking of eight illegal Internet television services. This represents a first in France.

Since 1985, ALPA has fought for the protection of audiovisual creation. By partnering with television channels and with the support of the CNC, the latter won a fight. In fact, no less than eight illegal IPTV services had their services blocked by court order. It is specified that the application of this blocking is effective for all ISPs.

IPTV is a totally illegal practice which, through a single annual or monthly subscription, allows you to watch a panel of counterfeit films and free and pay channels. Thanks to article L.336-2 of the Intellectual Property Code indicating that when an infringement is confirmed it is possible to use “All appropriate measures to prevent or put an end to such an infringement of a copyright or a neighboring right, against any person likely to contribute to remedying it”.

Xtream.ws, primeplus.tv, ddnc.us, platinumiptv.pro, iptv-teli.com Here are the names of some services affected by the blocking. ALPA does not intend to stop there, and will continue in the future to carry out similar actions with its members against other illegal IPTV services.
