Security Changes
Bitsoup SSL Protocol
- The site should be directing all traffic now to use SSL (HTTPS) url
- All new .torrent files download, including RSS, should also be using our SSL tracker instead of our UNsecured, UNencrypted normal tracker. This tracker will be completely turned off in 2015, so please make all the appropriate changes in your clients for older torrents by right-clicking each torrent and changing the url to HTTPS, or re-downloading the .torrent file from the site.
- You should look at your browser address bar to see if you're logged into our secure site. If not, please logout and back into our HTTPS url
- You should also check any older site links you have bookmarked to make sure they too are using the HTTPS url.

Personal Changes
Profile Settings
- Your profile settings page has been reworked to be more user friendly including grouped subject matter and better help text
- Check it out HERE
- Please check to see if your avatar works, if not please delete the dead link. You're simply causing your own site to load slower.
Park Notice
- Better notice with direct link for you to unpark
- This will be important as we don't delete accounts for inactivity any more, but will park your account instead. Based on your account status we will save your inactive account for up to 1yr once our suspension program takes effect. Currently all accounts are left enabled and stored for 2 years.

General Changes
Site Header
- Site header height restriction has been removed so the site will scale better at different resolutions
- This also speeds up page loads
Funding Meter
- Funding meter will now be updated daily to keep better track of where we are. This will be extremely important come 2015 when the site will be restricted until funding is met
- There is now a convenient donation button under the meter that takes you to the promo forum so you never miss anything we have to offer at any given time. However, promos will be much more scarce come 2015 with only normal donation methods and memberships being the norm.

Currently Being Worked On
Custom Avatars
- We've been working really hard the last couple months to get this back on track and reopened. We're almost there thanks to a few very talented people amongst us. When it initially reopens, it will be available to all PCVIP only until we strengthen our Design Team.
FAQ
- Our FAQ is a constant updated feature as processes and procedures change, but we're working on including a better Q&A for the most talked about and asked questions regarding the donation process and operation cost.
Peer and Uploader Anonymity
- Peer list will be changed for member security to a totally anonymous list without links to your profile
- Uploaders will also be protected, unless they wish to be known. This will be up to them.
Suspension Program
- Accounts have always simply been deleted in the past providing members stopped using them. However, we're implementing a suspension program where your account will go into limbo for a disclosed amount of time allowing you to retrieve it.
- A donation will be asked of you to fully unlock your account upon returning. Dupe accounts will be treated as normal and all accounts will be banned when found. This ban may include the member that invited you; especially if they've invited you twice.
- Be sure to park or keep your account active if you're not going to use it for longer than the active account policy, which can be found in our FAQ and will be updated.
- You will have 45 days to log into the site at least once to keep you account active. And as always, seeding, client activity and/or RSS WILL NOT count towards keeping your account active. The tracker and the site are 2 separate things.
- Complete details will be provided once we're ready to roll it out.
Site Restrictions Due to Under-Funding
- Details and processes are still being worked out so please do not ask.
- Complete details will be made known at the appropriate time.
- Although we have gave an initial warning, and we hope that is all it takes (history tells a different tale however), we will announce what needs to be done exactly before the first restriction takes place. I would suggest just doing the right thing and continue to support your site, securing your account for anything that may happen to come your way.
