Bit-HDTV is currently recruiting Torrent checkers.

The position of torrent checker is the first entry level of becoming a staff member of Bit-HDTV. This position is a very manual position and will require working with at least two browser tabs/windows open. Dual/multiple displays will help as well.

The torrent checker checks and fixes anything related with torrents (edit/notify/add in the description) on the site, including deleting torrents as necessary.

The primary tasks of the torrent checker is to make sure torrents are properly uploaded and perform the following tasks.
1. Check for dupes
2 .Check the title format (conform to rules).
3. Check the torrent content (files, conform to rules).
4. Check the description.
5. Marks the torrent as moderated.
6. Record the torrent entry in the Google forms spreadsheet.

Most newly uploaded torrent are in an acceptable format, however some torrent uploads require manual checking and all torrents need to be entered into the Google forms spreadsheet.

The minimum required knowledge for the position of Torrent checker is:

1. Must know the Rules and FAQ of the site.
2. How to properly create a torrent for a private tracker such as Bit-HDTV.
3. How torrents and the torrent protocol works.
4. A good knowledge of video technical info and formats (VC1, H.264, H.265, HDR, Remux, etc).
5. A good knowledge of releasing groups (scene & P2P).
6. Must moderate at least 25 torrents per week in order to maintain position (20 mins to 90 mins per week).
