Enhancements to the Adoption Process
Grеetiոgs antlers! With a new year cօmes a lօng-overdue (literally; I сoded this a month ago and have been slow to share) update to torrent adoption to clarify some misconceptions and to reward long-term seeding.

Starting today, there is no longer any limit to the number of uploads you can have listed for adoption, provided you have seeded them for 30 days (720 hours)! If you have seeded less than 30 days, you can still list, but will be subject to the previous limits based on your user class.

Additionally - the price to list a torrent for adoption is discounted starting from 2 months of seeding up to 6 months, at which point it becomes free. So if you have seeded an upload for at least 4,320 hours, you can list it for free!

This also means that the automatic adoption that happens after 21 days of a torrent being unseeded will no longer trigger a report (provided the torrent has been seeded at least 30 days) and is free after 6 months.

Finally - a reminder - torrent adoption has never required that you actually have your torrent be adopted before you stop seeding; simply that you list it. We ask for a grace period of at least 1-2 weeks, especially if you're the last seeder, but just listing for adoption is all that is required.

One small catch is that we have historically only recorded individual seed-times on snatches, not uploads. We started tracking those around Dec 1, so anything seeded full-time for the last month is eligible for the new rules, and discounts begin in February.
