You Can Now Quickly Add Reaction GIFs in Gmail
Ever wish you could respond to an email with a GIF, like you can in messaging apps? With Gmail now you can.
One of the best features in the new Gmail is the sidebar, where you can add third party tools. One such tool is Gfycat, which lets you quickly react to any email with an animated GIF.
Adding the addon is easy: just click the “+” button in the side panel, then search for Gfycat and install it. You’ll see the Gfycat icon in the sidebar whenever you respond to an email—click it and the panel will show up.You’ll see the Gfycat icon in the sidebar whenever you’re looking at an email—click it and the panel will show up. Tap any GIF and a new draft will be created with the GIF.
Note that this only works for replies: you can’t use it in newly composed emails. I’m not sure why that’s the case, but GIFs are most useful in responses anyway. Thanks to Emily Price at Lifehacker for pointing this tool out!
