The variety of communication methods brought to life by the Internet certainly made people go crazy. One trend in particular is going to stick around for a while longer now, especially because of the constantly-evolving video cameras, and we’re referring to video blogging.

It takes a little more to add some professionalism to your projects. Luckily, we stumbled upon an application that bundles up tools for video recording, editing, converting, and uploading. Before going through with the steps above, download and install YouTube Movie Maker.

Building your video

Step 1: Run the application and choose to Make Videos.

Step 2: Press the Rec button. It’s the first from a series of four red, round buttons.

Step 3-a (screen): Choose from full screen or custom area recording. Press Start and perform all necessary activities. Stop the recording through the tray icon.

OR:

Step 3-b (webcam): Switch to the Video Capture tab. Pick the device, input format, and press Start. This time, a preview window pops up with the option to pause and stop the recording when you’re done.

Step 4: Regardless of your choice in Step 3, hit Browse to find your fresh recordings.

Step 5: Press the X button to close the recorder.

Step 6: Drag videos over the bottom timeline in the appropriate fields.

Note: A lot of time can be spent here to add effects, crop, add more frames, insert an audio layer, and more.

Step 7: Publish your new video either Locally or to YouTube.

Uploading an existing video

Step 1: Run the application and choose to Upload Videos.

Step 2: Press the + button and select the videos you wish to upload.

Step 3: Fill in necessary details like category, tags, description, privacy, and more.

Step 4: Press Upload and fill in your YouTube/Google account and password.
