ANDY Murray sparked a spat among doctors over a photo of him post-hip surgery in London.

US medics highlighted what they claim are a string of blunders in the pic put on Instagram by the tennis ace, 31.

They included placement of the drips and blood pressure cuff, and queried why his hairy arms had not been clipped.

The Association for Vascular Access said Andy’s right arm “is largely responsible for the millions he has earned”.

It added: “The clinician who placed the peripheral intravenous catheters should have taken this into consideration and used his left arm.”

But others said it was likely he was placed on his left hip during surgery so it would be “entirely normal” to use his opposite arm.
