MOSCOW, March 10 (Itar-Tass) - RIA Novosti. President of the United States Donald Trump held a meeting with representatives of the gaming industry, congressmen and members of parent organizations to discuss the problem of violence in video games, which showed cutting of violent scenes from the games, writes The Verge. Among other things, in the selection there was an episode from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, in which terrorists plot the passengers at the airport in Moscow.

In addition, Fallout 4, The Evil Within and Sniper Elite 4 were also cut. Later, the video was posted on the official White House account on YouTube, but it is not in the playlist and is only available on the link.

At the meeting, the president called on developers to tighten the age limit on video games and voluntarily take other measures to "improve the industry," reports The Verge. Representatives of companies, in turn, presented scientific research that refutes the connection between violence in games and cruelty in real life.

Earlier, Trump, commenting on the shooting at Parkland's school, which killed 17 people, said the harmful effects of video games on the minds of young people.

In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 it is offered to play for fighters of special services and regular parts. The game takes place in Russia, on a military base in the mountains of Kazakhstan, in the slums of Brazil, in Afghanistan, in the USA and on Earth's orbit. The mission "Not a word in Russian," in which the protagonist participates in the terrorist attack on the "Imran Zakhaev International Airport" in Moscow, was cut from the Russian version of the game.
