The subtle ways Princess Diana broke protocol with her makeup
IT costs just £7.99 a bottle and is available in Superdrug and Boots.
The Queen has reportedly been wearing Essie's Nail Lacquer in Ballet Slippers since 1989 - and now Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle do too.
Or, if they aren't wearing the barely-there shade, they go colour-free.
It's unsurprising as The Queen has reportedly banned bright shades for Royal women.
We previously reported that she had a rule that Royal women should stick to pale, natural and light shades only.
In her engagement photos and at her wedding – when all eyes were on her hand – Meghan sported a pale pink colour.
Essie's iconic shade is just that right tone of light pink that goes with any look and outfit - and it seems the Queen agrees and refuses to wear any other colour.
According to the brand's website, the Queen's hairdresser wrote to the brand's owner, nail polish-mogul Essie Weingarten, asking for a bottle of the light pink polish as she didn't want to wear any other.
The subtle shade works well with the Queen's many bright outfits and gloves.
But one woman who thwarted this was Princess Diana who wore bright shades.
She was repeatedly seen stepping out with hot, red nails.
And it wasn't the only beauty rule she broke.
She reportedly loved blue eyeliner - until she was told it dulled her natural eye shade.
Hello said the Princess wore it until makeup artist Mary Greenwell told her: "Blue eyes should never wear blue pencil or shadow–it dulls your eyes."
