Snoop Dogg accidentally left £400,000 in cash at Exeter nightclub
RAP legend Snoop Dogg once left £400,000 in cash at an Exeter nightclub, it has been claimed.
The 47-year-old reportedly left a designer bag stuffed with £50 notes at Timepiece after performing a set in 2014.
Snoop Dogg once left behind a huge bag of cash inside a nightclub
He had been invited to perform at as part of a mini tour in the UK.
So he rocks up, does his thing and poses for photographs with fans before heading off into the night.
But Sloan later received a call from his entourage telling him about the missing bag of cash.
Speaking to Devon Live, he said: “They said: ‘We’ve left a large rucksack upstairs behind the DJ box, could we come and pick it up.’
“I said I’d left for the night but I’d see if I could arrange for someone to go and have a look. Now, Snoop Dogg had played the night before at Boardmasters in Newquay as part of a mini tour we’d organised and he usually insisted that he’s paid in cash.
“So there was this bag, which we just assumed had the usual in it, but what we didn’t realise was that it had all the money he had been paid from the events he had played so far. I reckon there must have been around £3-400,000 in there. I could have retired that night!”
Club owner George Sloan revealed how Snoop Dogg left behind the huge wad of cash inside the nightclub
Going onto recall his evening with the Hip-hop star, who apparently kipped in a £50-a-night Travelodge, Sloan added: “Snoop was the most laidback person I think I have ever met.
“I spent about 20 minutes with him and all I got was ‘cool’. The evening was ‘cool’, the club was ‘cool’, the crowd was ‘cool’.
“He posed for photographs and signed autographs. There was nothing outrageous on his rider, just a specific type of gin. He was very charming.”
