SINCE their fairy-tale wedding earlier this year, it goes without saying that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have become two of the most high profile members of the Royal Family.

But it has now been revealed that the newlyweds’ bodyguards rely on secret code names to ensure the security of the couple... and they’re directly inspired by their Royal title, according to The Sun.

According to the Daily Star, Harry and Meghan are always referred to by their initials “DS”.

As a nod to their official title, a royal source revealed that it is “far too risky” to refer to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex by their actual names in case their details fall into the wrong hands.

Instead, the Duke and Duchess are simply known as “David Stevens” or “Davina Scott” by their bodyguards.

In the same way as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge modestly go by “Danny Collins” and “Daphne Clark”, Harry and Meghan’s “code names” are also “changed regularly” to best ensure their protection.

After all, “if anyone got hold of a phone belonging to a royal aide or security team member, they won’t find Harry Windsor and Meghan’s names in it” because “it is far too risky” to store the couple’s personal details on a mobile.

What’s more, the code names were accidentally revealed during a recent event Prince Harry attended when the Royal got an unexpected call.

Having not been properly briefed on the “DS” code names, an anonymous caller asked “why would I want to speak to” David Stevens?

The royal insider added: “Imagine the surprise he got when he heard Harry’s voice on the other end of the line.”

But this isn’t the first time Prince Harry has gone by a secret name. During his younger years, the Royal figure once had a Facebook page under the name of “Spike Wells”.

In even more Royal news, Meghan Markle has been going “incognito in London to do Pilates and visit Whole Foods” wearing a baseball cap.
