IS that a media centre in your commerce pocket, or are you just happy to see me?

Apparently, our eyes deceive us.

This is not the oedipal complex you were looking for.

Instead, it’s a media complex.

It’s the pulsing heart of Guangxi province’s probing journalism clique.

And they’ve been scratching their heads on how best to pour cold water over excited comparisons of their new home with ... their male members.

Especially after it spewed fireworks into the air at the height of its grand opening event during the Mid-Autumn Festival.

But all isn’t as it seems. The full length of the video footage shared from a fake Chinese news source on social media has been somewhat “artificially enhanced”.

The structure was unveiled last month after a two-year construction process.

In a bid to deflate lewd remarks about their new home, Guangxi media has argued that the building’s unique features were inspired by the perky, terraced hills that fill the province’s fertile valleys.

It’s a landscape Guangxi and the nearby Yunnan province are famous for.

It’s not a giant penis and testicles! So get your minds out of the ditch!
