MILEY Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have "wed in a secret ceremony" six years after getting engaged.

Photos of the pop star and Hunger Games actor cutting wedding cake and surrounded by family members have appeared online - leaving fans convinced they've tied the knot.

Miley, 26, wears a glamorous ivory off-the-shoulder gown and hunky Australian Liam, 28, is seen in a suit.

Their pal Conrad Carr shared video and a photo from the intimate bash on Instagram, showing the stars getting ready to cut a cake.

In another clip, the camera pans around the room and reveals 'Mr and Mrs' balloons behind Liam and his groomsmen.

The pair first announced their engagement in 2012, but broke up a year later.

They rekindled their romance in 2016, with Miley jetting to Australia to spend New Years with Liam's family, including his brother Chris Hemsworth.

According to OK! Australia sources, the Hollywood couple previously clashed over having children - with the Wrecking Ball singer, 25, not ready to become a mum.

The source said: "He wants kids and doesn't want to keep putting it off but it's not quite the timeline Miley had in mind. He is left heartbroken.

"Miley put off plans for the wedding and Liam was growing tired of it. They haven't been getting along in recent months. It's something that everyone else seemed to get but Liam.

"Family had been begging him to see the light for a long time, but he had faith in Miley. Now he feels like an idiot."

Miley previously deleted every single Instagram post she's ever made, and changed her profile picture to a solid black circle.

The boomerang couple were on and off a few times before getting engaged in 2012, but by 2013 the wedding was off.

Then in 2015 she had her ring back on, and last year they hit the Oscars together.

There were also rumours the couple secretly wed last year in an intimate ceremony at their Malibu mansion.

Speculation hit an all time high in January when NW magazine claimed the A-listers tied the knot in Liam's native Australia when she went to visit him for New Year's Eve.
