This cat burglar litter-ally cleaned out the place.

A man was arrested for busting into a Massachusetts woman’s home — and cleaning a cat’s litter box inside, according to a local report.

While in an apparently confused state, 33-year-old Mitchell Sayers entered the victim’s North Adams residence last week through an unlocked door, took off his shoes and started cleaning, the Berkshire Eagle reported.

Police initially were called on a report of a man chasing a 26-year-old city woman around on Mohawk Forest Boulevard before they responded to the home on that block.

Officers met the victim outside the home while Sayers was still inside, according to the newspaper.

As a result of previous reports, police entered the home with their guns drawn because they thought Sayers may have been armed with a knife, the news outlet reported.

Sayers then came out of the kitchen with his hands in the air and he was arrested.

No knife or weapon was recovered.

Authorities described Sayers as “not making much sense with his statements,” the newspaper reported.

Sayers was charged with misdemeanor breaking and entering and disturbing the peace.

He was ordered to stay away from the Mohawk Forest Boulevard apartment.
