PIPPA Middleton may have given birth to her first child on Monday but she is yet to be visited by her sister, Kate, Duchess of Cambridge.

Pippa’s other sibling, James Middleton, was the first to arrive to meet his new nephew following the birth.

However, while Kate and Prince William put out a statement saying they are “thrilled” for Pippa and her husband James Matthews, media reports suggest the royals won’t visit the Lindo Wing at St Mary’s Hospital in Paddington where Pippa is staying.

Kensington Palace revealed that the Duchess took part in an unannounced charity engagement on Tuesday and therefore could not go to the hospital.

The court circular, which documents the engagements of the royal family, explained what the meeting was about.

“The Duchess of Cambridge this morning held a meeting of experts convened by the Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and The Duke and Duchess of Sussex to inform Her Royal Highness’s charitable “Early Years” initiative,” it said.

Express reports that Kate is unlikely to visit Pippa at all while she is in hospital because she doesn’t want to cause a media circus.

However, Pippa didn’t visit her sister in hospital after she gave birth to any of her three children.

While Pippa and Kate both acted as matron’s of honour for each other’s weddings, the pair are rarely seen together.

Pippa is often spotted hanging out in public with her brother, James.

Pippa became a mother for the first time after giving birth to a baby boy weighing 8lb and 9oz on Monday at 1:58pm after a short three hour labour.

The little boy is the cousin of future king, Prince George, five, his brother Prince Louis, five months, and their sister Princess Charlotte, three.
