KARRIE Neurauter, 20, has admitted driving her father to her mother’s house and distracting her 14-year-old younger sister while he strangled his ex-wife.

Neurauter has pleaded guilty to second degree murder in a deal which will see her testify against her father, Lloyd Neurauter, 45, in exchange for a recommended sentence of 15 years to life.

The upstate New York uni student says she helped her dad make the scene look like her mum Michele, 46, had taken her own life.

Karrie Neurauter said she disconnected electronic devices in the home to hide his presence. Police say they had responded to multiple domestic violence calls from Michele Neurauter’s residence in Corning, New York before her death.

Karrie Neurauter a computer engineering student at Rochester Institute of Technology in New York says her dad gave her an ultimatum in August — saying she could help him kill her mother or he would commit suicide.

She says he wanted to end his child support payments and get custody of his youngest child.

The pair was arrested in January, five months after Michele Neurauter’s death after friends of the woman insisted she would not have killed herself

“She would never have left her children where he would have them. She fought fiercely to make sure that she could get those children away and safe,” Megan O’Toole Tuazon, a friend of Michele Neurauter’s told WHAM.

Lloyd Neurauter was arrested in New Jersey after a dramatic confrontation with police in which he threatened to jump off a five-storey parking garage.

He has pleaded not guilty to several charges and faces the possibility of life in prison without parole.
