PARIS, April 9 - RIA Novosti, Victoria Ivanova. France did not inflict an air strike on the Syrian airbase in the province of Homs, reports France Press referring to the representative of the French army's General Staff, Patrick Steiger.

"It was not us," the agency quoted Steiger as saying.

On the night of Monday, the Syrian T-4 airbase was attacked by rockets. The Al-Mayadin TV channel reported that the missiles flew through Lebanese airspace from the Mediterranean.

As the SANA agency reported referring to the military source, as a result of the missile attack several people were killed and injured.

A source close to the US administration later told RIA Novosti that at present the country does not conduct military operations against Syria.

At the same time, the Israeli military refused to comment on reports of a missile attack on the Syrian air base, which Israel had already bombed earlier. In February, the authorities of the Jewish state claimed that it was there that the Iranian control center for unmanned aircraft was located.
