eBay has shipping-related news for Canadian and UK sellers this week. Canada Post is extending a discount it provided to eBay sellers for light parcels. And in the UK, rates for eBay Delivery Powered by Shutl are going up in January.

eBay Canada announced:

"In June, we announced Canada Post’s decision to discontinue Light Packet USA and Light Packet International services on the eBay label printing platform. To help ease the transition, Canada Post offered eBay sellers Small Packet services at a special discounted rates until December 31, 2017.eBay Canada has worked with Canada Post to extend the Small Packet services discounts through to January 14th. The end of these discounts will now coincide with the launch of new Canada Post rates, including rates on eBay’s label printing platform, which will go into effect on Monday, January 15th"

And eBay UK announced:

"As you may know, we work closely with Shutl to build and develop delivery services with features that are important to sellers. As a result of continuous development and to reflect the costs of our suppliers, Shutl will adjust the prices offered by eBay delivery powered by Shutl from the beginning of January. The price change will be modest and will still allow us to offer the services at competitive rates.

“Starting in early January, sellers will see the new price rates in some services offered through eBay delivery powered by Shutl.

“All services will continue to include tracking which will be automatically integrated into eBay, and also standard compensation (the amount of which will vary depending on the service selected) so sellers and buyers can continue to have peace of mind as well as access to great value services
"
