A "DRUNK" man dressed as Tinkerbell got kicked off a Ryanair flight after allegedly threatening other passengers.

Cops were called to assist flight attendants this morning after he is said to have become disruptive.

Stansted Airport had to delay the flight, and it is understood that a groom and best man were among those who were removed from the plane.

One man was dressed as Disney's Tinkerbell character.

He is pictured standing beside officers on the runway, having been offloaded from the aircraft.

Passenger Dan May, who was on the flight headed to Krakow, witnessed the event unfold.

He said: "Our flight to Krakow hasn't taken off yet because a man dressed as Tinkerbell has threatened to cut everyone up.

He added: "Armed police have shown up. One officer has adjusted the man's wings."

Another passenger, who wishes to remain anonymous, said the man appeared to be drunk and was given several chances to behave by cabin crew.

"He was a little bit drunk and just before leaving the best man decided it’s best to take him off," he said. "He had been given another chance by the cabin crew but the group thought best he went for the next plane."

Ryanair have stated that they do not condone the behaviour, calling for alcohol limits to be imposed before flying.

A spokesperson from the airline said: "Police removed and detained two passengers ahead of this flight from London Stansted to Krakow who were disruptive, before the aircraft departed to Krakow.

"We will not tolerate unruly or disruptive behaviour at any time and the safety and comfort of our customers, crew and aircraft is our number one priority. This is now a matter for local police.

"This is exactly why we are calling for significant changes to prohibit the sale of alcohol at airports, such as a two-drink limit per passenger and no alcohol sales before 10am.

"It’s incumbent on the airports to introduce these preventative measures to curb excessive drinking and the problems it creates, rather than allowing passengers to drink to excess before their flights."

The man and his friend have since scheduled a later flight.

A spokeswoman from Essex Police said: "We provided assistance to Stansted Airport just before 10am this morning, August 17.

"Two men had become disruptive on a plane.

"They were cooperative on being asked to leave the aircraft. They scheduled a later flight to their destination."
