STRICTLY favourite Caroline Flack was checked over by paramedics after her ex-fiance called 999 claiming she had threatened to kill herself.

Andrew Brady was said to have been concerned about her state of mind after a row — while worried pals rang after she contacted them “slurring and incoherent”.

But last night Caroline, 39, denied saying she would take an overdose.

Her camp accused ex-Apprentice contestant Brady of making the call vindictively.

A source told The Sun on Sunday: “Caroline and Andrew had both been drinking and got into yet another blazing row.

“But they weren’t even together — they were arguing by phone and it really kicked off between them.

“Andrew was concerned about her state of mind.

"At one point she had given the impression she felt like killing herself.

"Of course she didn’t mean it but Andrew felt he had no option but to call 999.”

Caroline, who won the BBC dance show in 2014 and is due to make a return appearance this Christmas, has previously admitted having treatment for anxiety issues.

Two paramedics arrived at her £1.5million home in North London at around 8pm on November 1.

The source added: “By the time they arrived, Caroline had sobered up a bit and the crew gave her the once-over.

“Caroline quickly reassured them that she was OK and didn’t pose a risk to herself.”

The Love Island presenter then contacted her friends to update them on her wellbeing.

Andrew, 28, is also said to have messaged Caroline later to apologise for “creating unnecessary drama”, and “wasting emergency services’ time”.

The source said: “Caroline was absolutely mortified.

"Yes she had been drinking and there was booze on the scene, but she hadn’t taken an overdose and never would.

“Caroline was extremely embarrassed and apologised profusely for her ex-boyfriend wasting everyone’s time.

“It was typical Andrew — he was creating unnecessary drama and made a drunken prank call.

“Caroline just wants to forget about the whole sorry incident now and move on with her life.”

The bust-up earlier this month was the latest in a series of boozy rows between the pair.

The couple have had a fiery relationship since meeting in January, getting engaged in April and their subsequent split.

During a recent break in Portugal, ex-Celebrity Big Brother contestant Andrew reportedly yelled at Caroline.

The clash prompted staff at the juice retreat to throw him out.

They are also said to have rowed over custody of their French bulldog Ruby.

But a friend said: “Caroline obviously loves Andrew and is incredibly loyal when it comes to him.

“She worries about him a lot and how he handles the pressure of fame.

“She is trying to get him professional help whilst also just focusing on work and her career which is really in the ascendancy right now.

"Her pals simply want her to be happy.”

After a series of TV jobs, Caroline was catapulted into the celebrity spotlight in 2011 when she began dating One Direction hunk Harry Styles after they met on The Xtra Factor.

She has since won a legion of fans with her quirky style and girl-next-door image.

Flack is now the face of hit dating show Love Island, having hosted three series.

In 2015 she was named the fifth sexiest woman in the world by FHM magazine ahead of Margot Robbie, Emilia Clarke and Kim Kardashian.

Caroline was raised in Thetford, Norfolk, with her twin sister Jody, brother Paul and sister Elizabeth.

As a teen she worked in a factory and as a magician’s assistant before her big break as a presenter on BBC kids’ show TMi alongside ex-Pop Idol duo Sam Nixon and Mark Rhodes.

Her short-lived romance with Styles ended in 2012 and the following year she began dating music manager Jack Street before they broke up.

While her love life seemingly dwindled, the fun-loving presenter went on to wow the nation with her dancing as she was crowned 2014 Strictly champ.

She and her pro dance partner Pasha Kovalev earned perfect scores for every performance in the final.

Caroline then met Andrew in January this year but their relationship suffered several setbacks following allegations of infidelity.

In August the pair were seen together in London on a date after it emerged Caroline had decided to give him another chance.

But they split before the 999 drama this month.
