In today’s post, UX/UI designer Frank Neulichedl shows us how he uses Sync with Adobe Lightroom to keep the app settings consistent across computers.

From Frank:

I use plenty of sync services – Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive and Creative Cloud – but all of those have one problem: you can only sync what is inside one specific folder. But what if you want to keep app settings in sync between computers?

Adobe is already stepping up by offering settings sync for Photoshop and Illustrator, but Lightroom settings are not available at the moment. So BitTorrent Sync came to mind.

BitTorrent Sync enables you to sync any folder you want to any number of computers – ideal. So, what can you sync? Basically everything that is stored in the settings folders of Lightroom. You can find this folders by clicking on “Show Lightroom Presets Folder” which you can find in the Settings.
