A blazing century from Ellyse Perry has helped the Sydney Sixers sink the Perth Scorchers in their WBBL clash in North Sydney.

Perry notched her ton while hitting the winning runs down the ground to cap a double celebration.

The Australian gun needed just 59 balls to reach three figures, smashing 14 fours and two sixes to help Sydney reach 4-171.

Earlier, the Scorchers had posted a competitive 9-167 from their 20 overs, with Amy Jones’ 57 off just 29 balls leading the way.

But a flurry of late wickets hurt Perth, including Heather Graham being run out by a sensational piece of fielding by Sara McGlashan.
