Ahead of Saturday's Clasico match against Real Madrid, the world, European and Spanish champions published a video commemorating the death of the footballing icon
Barcelona paid tribute to club legend Johan Cruyff ahead of Saturday's Clasico match with Real Madrid with a video dedicated to him, while fans at the Camp Nou put up a mosaic for him.

The iconic footballer passed away last week having lost his battle with lung cancer, leading to tributes flooding in from across the sporting world.

Cruyff's influence remains heavy at Ajax and across Netherlands, but he remains a revered figure in Catalunya where he won La Liga and Copa del Rey as a player, as well as leading the club to five league titles and a European Cup among other trophies as a coach.

Furthermore, his influence on the club carries on in their well-respected playing style and proficient youth academy.

In Barcelona's first match since the former Netherlands international's death, a video played on the stadium screens before kick-off that featured the members of Cruyff's feted "Dream Team" honouring their old boss.

The two teams then emerged from the tunnel to be greeted by a stunning mosaic spanning Camp Nou with the phrase "Gracies Johan" (thank you Johan) and Cruyff's iconic number 14 shirt set against Barca's traditional red and blue colours. The stadium observed a pre-kick-off minutes' silence and, after 14 minutes of the match, supporters applauded for a minute in further recognition of Barcelona great Cruyff.
