Ellyse Perry has scored her maiden Rebel WBBL century to lead the Sydney Sixers to a six-wicket win over Perth Scorchers at North Sydney Oval.

Sixers skipper Perry brought up the milestone with a boundary as she struck the winning runs in the 19th over, leading the way as her team successfully chased the Scorchers' 9-167.

She finished unbeaten on 102 from just 59 deliveries, in an entertaining knock that featured 14 fours and two big sixes.

The allrounder brilliantly anchored her team's chase after the early dismissal of in-form opening partner Alyssa Healy, bowled by Nicole Bolton for two, and weathered a mid-innings wobble when Ashleigh Gardner (26), Erin Burns (0) and Sara McGlashan (3) fell in quick succession.

Perry was joined by Dane van Niekerk in an unbeaten 70-run stand, the South African allrounder scoring 32no from 22 deliveries to add to her three-wicket haul.

Earlier, English import Amy Jones led the way for the Scorchers at the top of the order, striking 57 from just 29 balls in her first appearance for the club.

Australian pair Elyse Villani (32 off 25) and Nicole Bolton (40 off 33) also made key contributions for the Perth team, but van Niekerk's 3-24 took the wind out of the Scorchers' innings after a blazing start.

Both teams will be in action again at North Sydney Oval on Saturday, with the Scorchers to play the Brisbane Heat at 2.50pm AEDT before the blockbuster Sydney Smash between the Sixers and the Thunder from 7.10pm AEDT.
