Reports in Brazil had claimed that the forward had agreed to join Chelsea, but the player's representative now admits three other clubs could also complete a deal
Four clubs are in the race for Alexandre Pato, including Chelsea and Liverpool, according to the striker’s agent.

Reports in Brazil on Wednesday had suggested that Chelsea had reached a verbal agreement with Pato over a move to Stamford Bridge this month, although the 26-year-old’s representative, Gilmar Veloz, insists that no offer has been submitted to Corinthians.

“The guys are working on getting an offer, but nothing Corinthians are yet to receive one,” Veloz told UOL Esporte.

“The January market is very limited.

When asked which teams have a chance of signing Pato, Veloz replied: “Chelsea, Liverpool, Sporting and Benfica.

“All four have a chance.”
