The Colts seem to know who their next head coach is going to be.

According to ESPN.com, Indianapolis intends to hire Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels after the Super Bowl.

The Colts decided McDaniels was their man after a meeting Friday, where both sides shared their long-term goals.

McDaniels is expected to accept the offer, which will mark his second stint as a head coach. From 2009-10, he led the Broncos until he was fired after posting a 11-17 record.

Ever since arriving to New England in 2012, McDaniels has seen much success. He has helped the Patriots win six consecutive conference championship games and two Super Bowls.

McDaniels will be responsible for working with a down-and-out Colts squad that went 4-12 last season and was missing starting quarterback Andrew Luck the entire year due to an injured shoulder.

Meanwhile, the Patriots will have to hire both an offensive and defensive coordinator, since DC Matt Patricia is expected to take the Lions head coaching position this offseason.
