The phenomenal performances of Marc Marquez this season, culminating in his second successive MotoGP™ World title on Sunday, have made headlines around the world.

As Marquez wrapped up the title with three races remaining his level of talent and his achievement in becoming the youngest ever rider to win back-to-back premier class titles has not gone unnoticed by the world’s media.

L'Equipe in France ran the headline ‘Marquez, man of records,’ whilst in England, The Times noted: ‘World domination puts Marc Marquez in dreamland’.

In Italy, La Repubblica stated ‘Marquez campione del mondo, è festa in Giappone’ (World Champion Marquez celebrates in Japan) and noted Marquez’s historic achievement in becoming the first ever Honda rider to win a title at the Japanese factory’s own track.

Marquez’s victory has also had an impact in the United States media. Under a photo of the Motegi podium with Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo spraying Marquez with champagne, The Washington Post wrote, ‘Marquez second in Japan to claim MotoGP championship’.

The digital edition of CNN enthused, ‘Whiz kid Marc Marquez seals second MotoGP crown in Japan’, carrying Marquez’s quote from Sunday: “I am always smiling and always happy, but also I feel pressure.”

The Australian, meanwhile, went with the headline, ‘Masterful Marquez in dreamland’.

Naturally, the Spanish press devotes ample space to Marquez’s success. With a full MotoGP photo cover, Marca wrote, ‘Supersonic Marc’, while for AS their headline was ‘Marquez is already a legend’.
