“Look forward to getting the delivery you gave Josh Kennedy for a decade.”

In a cheeky Instagram post on Sunday night, Brent LeCras all but confirmed he would be sharing the forward-line with younger brother and West Coast premiership goalsneak Mark LeCras at Cervantes next season.

Mark announced his retirement from the AFL last week after 441 goals in 219 games, the third most in the Eagles’ history.

“What a ride you've been on @mlecras2 No boxes left unticked - Done it all! Proud of ya mate! The back pockets can sleep easier but the fish won't! Look forward to getting the delivery you gave @Joshjk17 for a decade along with some epic adventures, bent rods and a few froths to celebrate the next chapter!” Brent LeCras posted.

LeCras met with the Eagles’ hierarchy on Wednesday, where the decision was finalised to end his decorated career at the top level.

He said he was “very comfortable” to walk away from the game at age 32 after the Eagles’ grand final over Collingwood at the MCG.

Former West Perth champion and North Melbourne-listed Brent was playing-coach at the Central Midlands Coastal Football League powerhouse this season, while father Peter also helped out in an off-field role.

The 36-year-old led the Tigers Sharks to their 17th flag in 21 years with a seven-goal grand final performance against Lancelin last month.

He was awarded the Roger Tonkin Medal for best-afield to go with his seventh CMCFL premiership medallion.

He told Bush and ‘Burbs last month that playing alongside younger brother Mark might convince him to go around another year.
“We’ve spoken about it but he just wants to get through the next month first,” he said.

“That (Mark’s potential return to Cervantes) might be enough to keep me going for another season.”

Cervantes premiership player and former Eagle Callum Chambers described the Tigers Sharks as bigger winners than Fremantle for securing LeCras “for nothing”.
