2017 FA Cup winners Kedah and the club's players have picked up six major awards at the 2017 National Football Awards ceremony, which was held in Damansara, Selangor on Friday evening.

In the event that was also broadcast on national television broadcaster RTM, the Red Eagles won the Best Team award. Their players bagged almost all major individual awards. Ifwat Akmal Chek Kassim won the Best Goalkeeper award, Baddrol Bakhtiar won recognition as Best Midfielder and Most Valuable Player, while Liridon Krasniqi won the Best Foreign Player title, as well as the Most Popular Player award.

Its fans too bagged the Best Fans title, while their social media team was acknowledged with the Best Social Media award. The other award winners are as follows:
Best Defender: Matthew Davies (Pahang)
Best Striker: Shahrel Fikri Fauzi (PKNP FC)
Best Head Coach: Sathiananthan Bhaskaran (Felda United)
Most Promising Youngster: Adam Nor Azlin (Selangor)
Best Female Player: Siti Rohani Saptu (Sarawak) RTM
Most-media Friendly Player: Thanabalan Nadarajah
Fair Play Award: T-Team
FC Community Award: Sunny Shalesh (Pan-Disability Football)
Best Club Website: Selangor Curiously, Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT), who won both the Malaysia Cup and Super League this year, and its players were absent from the list of winners of the evening.

The players nominated for the major awards were selected from a pool of those who have turned out in at least 50 per cent of their team's competitive matches in the 2017 season, with the award committee then selecting 10 best players to be nominated in each category (and 10 best head coaches for the Best Head Coach Award). The winner of each category was then voted by 24 Malaysia Super League and Premier League head coaches, 24 team captains as well as 24 media personnels
